At Northwich Nursery we have recently introduced a Pupil Council as a way to gather feedback from the children and teach them that their view and opinions are important.

Each half term, children are invited to attend a meeting with the nursery manager to put forward their views about the nursery. At our very first meeting, the children had lots of ideas about how we could continue to develop our outside area, including making a mud digging area. We’re looking forward to the next meeting when we can review our progress!

In the Baby Room, the staff have been encouraging exploration and curiosity through heuristic play. We have been developing our collection of treasure baskets by gathering a range of interesting objects for children to investigate. We are constantly amazed at the new ways children find to use them!
