Safehands Nursery at the Guild Hall caters for children aged from birth to five years old. We are a purpose built nursery within the newly refurbished Guildhall located in the heart of Preston City Centre. We are located within walking distance to the bus station, library, markets, and local parks. We are open for 51 weeks of the year with the exception of bank holidays.

We have 2 rooms both situated on the ground floor. Our baby room caters for children aged from birth up to two years old, from this our children move up into the larger room that will cater for their individual needs until they are ready to make their transition to school.

We have a highly qualified and dedicated staff team, who are committed to professional development, through in-house and external training. We are very lucky that our staff team have a significant number of years’ experience working with children in the early year’s age groups they are dedicated to providing a caring, safe, fun and stimulating environment where children can learn and play.

Each child is allocated a key person who will ensure your child is settled, stimulated and challenged whilst in the nursery environment, they are responsible for your child’s learning journey and will work closely alongside you to plan effective next steps to ensure your child is reaching his/her full potential.

We have an outdoor area for all children to access and there is a dedicated space for our older children and a separate space for babies to play safely. We consider ourselves fortunate that our nursery is close to the local library, museum, train station and markets as we love nothing more than going on trips to explore using our imaginative, sensory and physical skills as well as learning about the world around us.

We have a green ethos within our nursery, encouraging children to recycle and grow fruit and vegetables which are used as part of our daily meals. We value parents’ input into our nursery and the nursery manager will work with you when planning our summer and winter menus.
